CRIME AND. . . WORSE CRIME

     Easily the primary subject of the media is crime. For decades, every day, thou sands of media personalities have routinely flogged crime to attract audience and thus advertising bucks. Politicians spend more of our taxcash on prisons than education. Whenever they decide to get re-elected by throwing ever more of our money at their next big anticrime (re-election) package, gullible voters stampede to eagerly pass out more of our prosperity to police, judges, prosecutors, social workers, etc. With our help, ignorance and apathy they:

1. Emptied out mental hospitals into prisons in the '60s and 70's Just to save a few bucks.

2. Outlawed spankings in school and in the home.

3. Stepped up sales of death and war in South America, causing a vast northward flow of immigrants.

4. Watched homelessness become unignorable in the '80s.

5. Had no comment when security guards began outnumbering police in the mid '80s.

6. Steadily lasso'd an ever larger segment of the public and branded them 'criminal' with newly invented legal contraptions.

7. Sold the police lobby laws that enabled them to buy, sell and even manufacture drugs and keep the money for themselves.

     Collecting drugbucks and enticing crime where there otherwise was no crime filled an explosion of prisons, halfway houses trustee labor camps, work releases electronic incarcerations, etc. Still they wanted more. The cop lobby bought laws enabling them to snatch up billion$ in real estate and personal property mere by branding it "drug proceeds". Crime pays fabulous riches to everyone involved except the criminal. Crime pays so lucratively that they have no reason to cure it, and every reason to make it worse!

     Surplus wealth caused surplus offspring. They will profit off crime same as their parents. Just to make sure, how about creating more crime? This is easy as bumping your head. Just force people off welfare. Outlaw school spankings. Obsess over child abuse when mothers discipline their children. Dumb down schools. Let children duck school. Let fathers escape fatherhood. Make juvenile justice a joke. Have Reagan's CIA dump tons of crack cocaine into U.S. markets to fund secret wars, creating hordes of addicts and waves of immigrants and crime. We've still got millions of crackbabies yet to entomb in newer, more costly supermax prisons.

     Yes, crime profiteers and their offspring are very well taken care of for this century, the century of the rebirth of slavery. But apparently not well enough for them. Prison bureaucrats, guards and

politicians are beginning a new round of "screw the prisoners and their families". They stripped us of everything before we even got past their court rooms. Now, in prison, they are even snatching up our potato chip money for health fees and every other fee they can invent. Slowly and unstoppably they are taking our radios and TV's. Next will be our books and magazines. Politicians, judges and cops enthusiastically approve!

     This is an even more assidious attack. Take away stimuli, you take away mind. Elementary psych-science has known for 40 years that sensory deprivation shrinks minds. Crime profiteers and their shrill sycophants want prisons to be sensory deprivation chambers. Stupider and more violent criminal are created this way. This is precisely the way to employ the vast overbloat of lawyers, judges, prosecutors, police, politicians, guards, bureaucrats, social workers, security guards, news personalities, weapons merchants, drug warriors, spies, informers, military advisors, talk show hosts, Hollywood actors, TV copshow producers, congressional aides, cabinet ministers, crime experts, consultants, etc.

     Everyone who suffers from crime knows intuitively that sensory deprivation inside hate factories equals more, worse crime. But the media propagandists are stuck on test imonial tales of woe about victims: selling sensationalism, not science. Their one, tired "message" has never changed and is so hackneyed that 5 year olds can recite it from the last 5 words; . . . and throw away the key!" The trouble with their message is that despite new legal inventions like accelerated death penalty, life no parole, no federal parole, multiple sentences for the same crime, thousand year sentences, sentence enhancers, extra time for being branded mentally ill, etc, unbelievably, most prisoners still do eventually get out!

     Now, brain-damaged, hate-filled criminals are job security for crime profiteers and their offspring, but not good for people like you and I who can not afford to live in luxurious, gated enclaves with private security patrols. We aren't even driven to work in bulletproof limosines. Most of us have to live among these people when they get out. When they do get out, I want them to know something about how easy it is to get a job and stay out of prison. They don't learn this by being cut off from even the lowest forms of socialisation and education. I don't get jealous when a prisoner buys his own TV and watches it. I'm glad his mind has nourishment.

Other citizens should think this way; it is the long view. Prisons should not be the hate factories and sensory deprivation chambers they are. Prisoners already controlled by multiple layers of steel and concrete are no threat. When crime profiteers demand to "control" prisoner's screams of anguish and dispair by taking their TV's and radios, I call this sadism. Prisons are carefully designed to insulate guards behind many layers of soundproofing; obviously such overcontrol is excessive and petty. Criminals are caged as punishment, not for punishment.

     Non-elite voters should realise this so that the newest rage of crime augmentation

can be blunted and slowed. Modern man should realize that minimum mental health requires social contact with the real world even if it's only through the artificiality of" radio and TV.          In short, radio and TV should be guaranteed to all prisoners, no matter what. Anything less is cro-magnon of us.
