EVEN MORE COPCRIME

In 1996 Terri Hinson's home burned down and she narrowly escaped with her daughter and her life. The regular cops, firecops. and insurance company cops monopolize the scene, carefully keeping all non-cop witnesses away while they search for arson.  Sure enough, they pull accusatons of arson out of thin air merely by claiming that the fire began in a closet, where no fire could start without human help.

Somehow Ms. Hinson is not dragged off immediately to jail and is able to find two real fire experts to investigate who are not looking for promotions or to screw her out of her fire insurance payoff. They somehow retain the cops' own photographs and prove that the fire started with rainwater on old, frayed electrical wires in the attic above the closet.

Even so, it took 18 months to get their electronic house-arrest device off her ankle and to make the cops and judges give back her young daughter from state fosterhome Hell. Not any of the cops ever apologized for trying to frame her for arson or for traumatizing her daughter at the family's time of greatest sorrow and need. No cop ever paid for their criminal use of false accusations to obtain peer-praise and promotions for themselves and for helping the insurance company dodge payment. Each and every one of these badged, robed and silk suited criminals escaped justice, as is usual.
