RE: Forcing Science into Justice

Dear Dr. Coburn,

In the 12-18-09 Science (www.sciencemag.org) P. 1631, over 40 scientist from multiple disciplines decry the fact that the public’s DNA database (DB), paid for by the taxpayers, is being hogged by the law forcing industry. They publish no research of their own, and keep the database secret from the scientific community despite the law (42 U. S. C. Sec 14132(b)(3)(D) having been passed, in part, by vending a promise that the database would also serve the scientific research community; a higher purpose than merely abducting accused persons for legal processing.

As you probably know, the FBI lab has been caught fabricating evidence so many times that it had to be “punished” through federal grants of taxpayer million$ given to states and cities for building their own “labs”, many of which subsequently got caught perpetrating their own masses of evidence frauds. (OK OSBI lab tech Joyce Gilchrist, “Dr. Death” Frank Zain and hordes of others whose identities could not be uncovered due to excessive power for secrecy within their bureaucracies.) Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Houston crime “labs”, among many others, also got caught at evidence crimes, and each has been caught concealing their destruction of rape kit DNA, often because they squandered the DNA processing grant money on other, more enjoyable police goodies, such as training junkets for top officials.

Most recently, the national academy of science finally issued its analysis of all police forensic techniques and uncovered, once and for all, that each and every one, except DNA and FMRI lie detection, has little or no basis in science, (Incuding fingerprints) and that some are total frauds (trace metal bullet analysis).

These facts reveal a pattern in the conviction industry: crap evidence that can easily be created, manipulated and planted (witnesses, gloves, blood, fingerprints, hair, fibers, etc) is preferred and promoted by cops, lawcrats and their media tools, while technology that is difficult to manipulate or plant (DNA, FMRI lie detection) is shunned, destroyed and disparged.

Knowing this, the obvious, easy remedy is this; forensic science belongs in the universities with scientists, with cop/D. A./Judge manipulations prevented via double blind testing. Since the lawyer community is too strong to let logic, common sense and real science police its frauds directly, we need baby steps to make this occur inderectly.

The first of these baby steps should be to simply follow the law and make the FBI (and all other state and local cop agencies, funded by tax paying citizens) cough up their DNA databases we paid for so that real scientists can use them for all our benefits.

The cop/lawcrat agenda of obtaining convictions precludes any unbiased use of evidence by them. Cops and lawcrats are the carnivores; citizens are their prey. Secrecy serves corruption, same as jackals hide in the night, lurking for opportunity to kill. We all want to cut corruption and increase justice. Tis is an easy, common sense way to dramatically do both. Will you use your powerful position on the judiciary committee to improve both scientific justice and national health by providing science with the cop DNA database?

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

James Bauhaus

P. S. Another indication that the law forcing industry surely squanders its DNA resources is the fact that it claims to have only seven million DNA-captives in its database. This number should be in the hundreds of millions. America’s conviction factories currently have over six million captives branded as criminal who are presently caged in prisons and jails or suffering parole, probation, etc. Every developed nation on earth has been legally stealing and hoarding DNA from their citizens and others for about 23 years. The military steals DNA too, as do many other government institutins, such as the INS and medical facilities. With Interpol’s library, there is no excuse for american secret police to have a mere seven million persons tagged and bagged when its caging system rotates 800,000 citizens in and out of its known prisons every year. Since we have mriad DNA theft laws for mere arrest by police who are simply curious to see if any crime can be found, the yearly DNA capture rate has undoubtedly soared into the millions. Since the FBI appears to wish us to believe it has not, there is another problem with the DNA database and the secrecy that police enjoy with it: what is the actual number of person’s DNA captured, and why is this number so incredibly tiny relative to the massive funding and brobdingagian efforts of the confiscation apparatchik?
