INDIANA DEATH MACHINE CAN'T WAIT!

5-25-05 CNN had a couple of sentences on its crawl about e guy on death row whom "Indiana" refused to let live long enough to donate his liver to his sister. A second sentence tried to justify this anonymous refusal by saying that some unnamed doctor from nowhere said that the organ was not a match.

Tulsa's channel $ crawl was a bit more bold in laying blame for this tragedy. Instead of letting us guess that it was some high-handed, anonymous judge who should be frying in hell for this, it said that the irresponsible party was governor Mitch Daniels. Daniels claimed that some anonymous doctor, probably in state employ, claimed that sister and brother's organs do not match.

If we put on our thinking cap for a second or two, we will immediately remember that sister and brother get ALL their genes from only two people. Also, sister and brother share one fourth of the same genes between themselves. The only possible closer match than sister and brother is between parent and child, who share half of their genes. (We assume no doctor tried to tell us that there was no match between twins, who share 100% of their genes. It seems to me that governor Daniels should get a better spokes-liar in the future. Almost any previously prepared story would have been better than the lie that brother and sister's organs are not a match. There are certainly no STRANGERS who are going to share one fourth of their genes.

Just as bad or worse is to waste ANY liver that is willingly donated. The lines for livers are long, but only weeks or months long. I am certain that the politicians' revenge could wait mere months to kill someone if it saved an innocent life. After all, they waited YEARS for the lawcrats to finish jawboning over whether to kill him. Besides, what other grand scheme or good is the state's kill for but revenge and the harvesting of organs? Now, thanks to governor Daniels and other govcrats hiding behind their self-given title of "The People Of Indiana!", they have killed Greg Johnson and probably his poor sister tool
