STEALTH MEDIA AND THE LOCAL GOV’T CONSPIRACY
5-4-03: Today the Oklahoma news media vended a story about the Tulsa police having trouble getting A prisoner's DNA from THE OSBI or DOC so they could link more crimes onto him. Allegedly the OSBI and DOC told the Tulsa police and TV channel 6 that the prisoner's DNA, which was stolen from him while in prison, was not yet processed. Worse, it would take another year or more due to the 11,000 unprocessed blood samples stolen from prisoners ahead of him. The talking head, a Lori Fulbright, added the usual excuse for the police; that they need more funding. (Don't we all!)
This simple story contains a lot of trickery, many mysteries and at least one scandal. The topmost layer of manure is the pretense that the Tulsa police can't simply have a judge sign for more of that prisoner's blood for them to analyze in their own DNA "lab". The Feds have passed out free millions of your taxcash to many of the 18,000 police agencies nationwide to set up their own DNA labs so they can by pass pesky standards of private and university labs. Police-friendly judges will sign any coherent request that police submit, so where is the problem?
The next layer of guano is the lack of any question about where the first millions went that were for stealing and processing all the prisoner blood the legisla ture gave them in 1996 Ms Fulbright and her editors carefully don't say that all these millions evaporated into police and guard overtime and that virtually none of this DNA got processed as promised for 9 years!
On the surface, this media story is a plea from city police for state police to let them nail their "bad guy". In reality it is another stealthy step in softening the heads of voters into accepting another tax-snatch to repay the first tax-snatch that got frittered away. Watch the multi-media hookers expand on this "problem" in the coming weeks. And realize that this same theater is playing out in 49 other states.
Clever, huh?
